Nepal Covid-19 tally crosses 8,600

Kathmandu, June 20

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 8,605 as of Saturday afternoon.

In his daily press briefing in Kathmandu, the ministry’s spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam said 331 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of total cases, over 1,500 have achieved recovery whereas 22 died, according to him. No one has died of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

The disease has spread across 74 districts of the country.

In various parts of the country, more than 100,000 people have been quarantined waiting to be tested.
