Nepal Covid-19 tally: 440 new cases, 474 recoveries, 6 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 10

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 910,773 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The ministry said 440 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 5,407 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 387 returned positive. Likewise, 1,407 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 53 tested positive.

Of total tests, 7.15 per cent of the PCR and 3.76 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 6.45 per cent.

As of today, there are 7,519 active cases across the country. Of them, 514 are hospitalised, 189 in intensive care units and 53 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 474 people have achieved recovery whereas six deaths were been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 796,780 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,460 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.6 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, 16,529 people were vaccinated today.
