Kathmandu, January 6
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 263,193 as of Wednesday afternoon.
The ministry says 409 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. Out of those, 184 have been reported in the valley.
In this period, 6,706 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 964,160 people have been tested in the country.
As of today, 5,133 cases are active.
Of the total cases so far, 256,161 people have achieved recovery whereas 1,899 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 495 people have been discharged whereas six deaths have been reported.
Over 300 people are quarantined across the country.
