Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,870 PCR and 1,283 antigen new cases in 24 hours, death toll up by 108

Kathmandu, June 8

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 611,308 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The ministry says 3,870 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. In this period, 12,065 swab samples were tested.

Likewise, 5,611 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 1,283 tested positive.

As of today, there are 82,736 active cases across the country. Of them, 6,186 are hospitalised, 1,321 in intensive care units and 372 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 6,570 people have achieved recovery whereas 108 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s recovery rate is 84.7 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 504,530 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 8,098 died, according to the ministry.

Over 700 are quarantined across the country.
