Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,540 PCR and 1,502 antigen cases in 24 hours, death toll up by 68

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 585,100 as of Saturday afternoon.

The ministry says 3,540 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. In this period, 11,471 swab samples were tested.

So far, 3 million and 132,591 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, 5,343 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 1,502 tested positive.

As of today, there are 92,928 active cases across the country. Of them, 6,660 are hospitalised, 1,451 in intensive care units and 384 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 8,243 people have achieved recovery whereas 68 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s recovery rate is 82.8 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 484,373 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 7,799 died, according to the ministry.

Over 700 are quarantined across the country.
