Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,370 PCR and 1,102 antigen new cases in 24 hours, death toll up by 92

Kathmandu, June 7

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 606,155 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry says 3,370 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. In this period, 12,002 swab samples were tested. The positivity rate was 28.07 per cent today.

Likewise, 5,901 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 1,102 tested positive.

As of today, there are 85,544 active cases across the country. Of them, 7,180 are hospitalised, 1,434 in intensive care units and 397 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 6,951 people have achieved recovery whereas 92 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s recovery rate is 84.2 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 497,960 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 7,990 died, according to the ministry.

Over 700 are quarantined across the country.
