Nepal Covid-19 tally: 298 among 4,100 test positive

Kathmandu, April 7

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 278,768 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The ministry says 298 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 4,100 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 298,167 people have been tested in the country.

Similarly, the government conducted 1,040 antigen tests on Wednesday out of which 41 people tested positive.

As of today, 2,201 cases are active.

Of the total cases so far, 273,519 people have achieved recovery whereas 3,036 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 74 people have been discharged whereas no death was reported. 

Over 60 people are quarantined across the country.
