Nepal Covid-19 tally: 2,449 new cases, 410 recoveries, 5 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, April 23

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 294,601 as of Friday afternoon.

The ministry says 2,449 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 8,798 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 388,200 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 866 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 110 were found infected.

As of today, 14,724 cases are active.

In the past 24 hours, 410 people have been discharged whereas 5 deaths were reported. 

Of the total cases so far, 276,755 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,122 died, according to the ministry.

Over 90 people are quarantined across the country.
