Nepal Covid-19 tally: 2,220 new cases, 287 recoveries, 10 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, April 21

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 289,787 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The ministry says 2,220 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 8,844 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 369,401 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 803 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 131 were found infected.

As of today, 10,582 cases are active.

In the past 24 hours, 287 people have been discharged whereas 10 deaths were reported. 

Of the total cases so far, 276,093 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,112 died, according to the ministry.

Over 90 people are quarantined across the country.
