Nepal Covid-19 tally: 2,049 PCR and 869 antigen cases in 24 hours, death tally up by 53

Kathmandu, June 14

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 631,860 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry says 2,049 new cases were confirmed in the country in RT-PCR tests in the past 24 hours. In this period, 9,438 swab samples were tested.

Likewise, 5,381 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 869 tested positive.

As of today, there are 65,804 active cases across the country. Of them, 4,682 are hospitalised, 995 in intensive care units and 324 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 5,147 people have achieved recovery whereas 53 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is 87.8 per cent and the fatality rate 1.6 per cent

Of the total cases so far, 536,252 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 8,465 died, according to the ministry.
