Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,667 new cases, 251 recoveries, 11 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, April 20

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 287,576 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,667 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 8,055 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 360,557 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 863 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 69 were found infected.

As of today, 8,659 cases are active. Of them, 685 are hospitalised, 160 in intensive care units, and 45 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 251 people have been discharged whereas 11 deaths were reported. 

Of the total cases so far, 275,806 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,102 died, according to the ministry.

Over 90 people are quarantined across the country.
