Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,421 PCR and 1,021 antigen cases in 24 hours, death toll up by 51

Kathmandu, June 20

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 647,651 as of Sunday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,421 new cases were confirmed in the country in RT-PCR tests in the past 24 hours. In this period, 6,677 swab samples were tested.

Likewise, 4,249 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 1,021 tested positive.

As of today, there are 55,521 active cases across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 3,456 people have achieved recovery whereas 51 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is 89.6 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 556,798 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 8,726 died, according to the ministry.
