The Ministry of Health and Population has appealed to the citizens, especially those residing in 14 districts identified to be at the highest level of risk, to avoid crowds to keep themselves safe from Covid-19.

Issuing an appeal today, the ministry informed Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Kaski, Rupandehi, Chitwan, Banke, Parsa, Bhaktapur, Kailali, Morang, Dang, Surkhet, Bara, and Baglung are at the highest level of risk.

It has urged people in these districts to not go to schools, nighttime businesses, restaurants and clubs, sports events, gymnastic centres, public religious sites, conference halls, cinema halls and theatres, shopping malls, party venues and swimming pools among other crowded places.

The government has urged all hospitals in these districts to operate fever clinics and coronavirus test labs.

Meanwhile, the hospitals have been told to allocate 50 per cent beds for Covid-19 patients.
