Biratnagar, February 16
Central member of the Nepali Congress Sekhar Koirala says said his party’s stance on the government would depend on its activities.
Inaugurating a two-day orientation programme on ‘Role of Nepal Students’ Union in the changed context’, he said as NC has the people want the NC to stay in the opposition. The Nepali Congress will act as a watchdog, he informed.
According to him, all sister organisations of the party need to be revived to make the party mechanism more effective.
Another central member Chandra Bhandari said the NC will not deviate from its path merely because of its poor show in the election result.
Other central members Dhanaraj Gurung, Gururaj Ghimire and Pradip Poudel and NSU General Secretary Kundan Kafle said NSU’s role was important in reinvigorating the party after its electoral defeat.
