NCP Jhapa leader Bhandari reported missing

Bhadrapur (Jhapa), December 20

A leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Dipak Bhandari has gone missing from Jhapa district since Wednesday morning. Police have initiated a search after he was reported missing from his residence in Mechinagar-10.

DSP of District Police Office, Mahendra Kumar Shrestha has said that a team of police had been deployed to look for Bhandari and were collecting his call details. He also adds that his business partners were being questioned.

Bhandari’s wife Gita said that Dipak had left home for college around 9:30 am on Wednesday after which there has been no contact.

Police also add that Bhandari has left his mobile phone at home.

Leader Bhandari was the chairman of the then CPN (UML) Mechinagar and also served as the chair of Dhulabari Jaycees.

Bhandari holds multiple social responsibilities including director of Himalayan College in the district.
