A meeting of the party’s secretariat held in Kathmandu this morning directed lower committees to recommend the candidates by October 27. The meeting has decided that the party’s central leaders will select the candidates for the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies.

Likewise, the party’s provincial committees have been authorised to select candidates for mayor and deputy mayor at the municipal level. Concerned municipal and district committees have to recommend three names for one candidate.

Similarly, district committees will decide the candidates for the ward members after recommendations from the concerned ward committees.
