NC lawmaker challenges Prime Minster to ride her scooter in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, July 4

Nepali Congress lawmaker Rangamati Shahi on Thursday challenged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to get on a scooter and ride till Banasthali.

Criticising the Prime Minister for saying that people of Kathmandu need not wear pollution mask, Shahi urged the PM Oli to ride her scooter around Kathmandu for a day.

“I’d like to invite the Prime Minister to sit behind my scooter and roam Kathmandu. I guess by doing so he will realise how polluted Kathmandu really is,” said Shahi speaking at a meeting of the Development and Technology committee on Thursday.

PM Oli’s claim that no one needs to put on a mask in Kathmandu was ridiculed on social media as well.
