National Leadership Camp inspires over 100 young leaders in Sydney

Kathmandu, July 16

More than 100 high school students from every Australian state and territory came together in Sydney for the 2026 National Leadership Camp — a four-day program aimed at shaping the next generation of leaders.

According to a press statement, it is organised by youth empowerment group Burn Bright. The camp welcomed students from Years 10 to 12 to participate in keynote talks, outdoor team challenges, and small-group mentoring focused on leadership, character-building, and resilience.

In a milestone moment, the 2026 edition also welcomed its first international delegates, with students from Nepal and Indonesia joining their Australian peers to explore leadership from diverse cultural perspectives.

“This camp helps young people uncover their values and realise they have the potential to lead right now,” said Layton Fraser from the Executive Leadership Team.

A key feature of the camp is its relational mentoring model, which places each participant in a small group led by trained mentors to ensure safe spaces for reflection and personal growth.

With more than 90 guest speakers and over 2,500 alumni since its inception, the National Leadership Camp has earned a strong reputation among schools and families nationwide — and now internationally — as a catalyst for youth empowerment and leadership.
