Kathmandu, October 14
A team deployed from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Sunday arrested the Chief Executive Officer of Tokha Municipality, Krishna Prasad Subedi, with Rs 100,000 bribe amount.
The team deployed by the anti-corruption constitutional body made the arrest at the municipal office in Kathmandu today.
The Commission’s spokesperson Rameshwor Dangal says Subedi had demanded the bribe from local consumer committee members in connection with a local road project.
Further investigation is underway.
