Biratnagar, May 1
Ministers of Province 1 are having trouble finalising the name and capital of the province.
The ministers have been holding a meeting since 8 am on Wednesday morning at Big Hotel in Biratnagar to finalise the name and capital.
As this meeting was taking a long, the Provincial Assembly meeting scheduled for Wednesday was postponed.
After the ministers decide the name and capital of the province, it will then be sent to the Provincial Assembly. A two-thirds majority will be needed to finalise the name and the capital.
The provisional capital of Province 1 is Biratnagar. However, it has already been decided that the CM’s office and Transport Office will be in Dhankuta.
