Kathmandu, May 4

Nepal’s meteorologists have forecast that most parts of the country will receive incessant rainfall until Wednesday.

Ganga Nagarkoti, a meteorologist at the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, says, “Today (Monday) and tomorrow will be the same. Its impact will get weak the next day.” According to her, the current rainfall is a result of the combination of the westerly wind and local wind, creating a low-pressure area.

The department informs that most weather stations of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Province 5, Gandaki, and Bagmati have recorded rainfall today.

The eastern part of the country has not been significantly impacted by the recent change in the weather pattern yet. However, it is gradually expanding eastward.

The department has said lightning incidents are also likely, calling the public to stay alert.
