Kathmandu, June 7
A man murdered his girlfriend in Thamel on Tuesday.
Amar Ranjit, 30, of Dhulikhel, killed Jenisha Tamang after the two got into a verbal fight.
According to SP Sita Ram Rijal of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, they worked in a restaurant in Thamel and had been living together.
The two got into a fight at 3 pm on Tuesday.
“Amar was under the influence of alcohol, hit Jenisha until she fell unconscious. She was rushed to Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead at 7 pm,” said Rijal.
Police have booked Ranjit for culpable homicide and are investigating the case further.
