A man was arrested for raping a 16-year-old child in Kathmandu. It was reported that the man had promised to marry her after the incident.
The arrested was identified as Jay Rai, 26, of Chaudandi Municipality-3, currently residing at Thankot of Kathmandu.
On Friday, a report was filed against Rai for raping the child at his friend’s rented room in Khadkagaun of Nagarjun municipality-10 in Kathmandu. Following that, the police arrested him at Satdobato, Lalitpur.
Further investigation is underway.
