Madhesh should express its dissatisfaction by using the ballot paper, says PM Prachanda

Kathmandu, February 28
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Tuesday appealed Madhesi peoples to express their dissatisfaction through ballot.
Prachanda, in his address to the nation, said the government is committed to Constitution amendment. In an oblique reference to the CPN-UML, Prachanda said: Because of one party, the Parliament has not been able to convene a discussion on Constitution amendment for three months. Keeping in mind fear of deadlock in the implementation of the Constitution, the government has declared elections.
I am always committed to Constitution amendment, he said, adding: This government has given Madhesh the opportunity to vent their dissatisfaction through ballot papers. There’s a need to utilise this opportunity. He pledged to push forth Constitution amendment and election processes simultaneously.
He appealed Madhesh-centric parties to show their responsibility towards the country by using their wisdom instead of venting their outrage. Prachanda pledged to ensure safety of every vote cast.
Prachanda noted that conspiracies are afoot to negate achievements like federalism and republicanism. He said: I declare through this address – We will not let secessionists raise their heads. We will tolerate rightist tendencies nowhere – whether it’s in the Hills, the Himalayas or the Terai.
