Kathmandu, September 7
The Chinese Embassy in Nepal has organised a memorial event on the occasion of Nepal’s national day of mourning for those who lost their lives in Bhotekoshi floods.
The Chinese national flag at the embassy has been flown at half-mast in memory of the victims.
The embassy said China and Nepal would continue to stand by each other with hope and determination and work together to overcome the difficulties and rebuild their homes and communities.
The devastating Bhotekoshi flood on Bhadra 10 caused significant loss of life and property on both the Nepali and Chinese sides. The Kerung border point connecting Nepal and China was also completely damaged in the disaster.
