Lawmaker questions Nepali doctors’ qualification

Upendra Yadav

Kathamandu, August 20

Lawmaker Prem Suwal has asked the Health Minister Upendra Yadav if hospitals in Nepal have the capacity to treat PM KP Sharma Oli.

PM, Oli who recently returned from Singapore, is going back again to check the effectiveness of his medicines.

In reply, Minister Yadav said that PM Oli was urged to go to Singapore by doctors in Nepal.

“Doctors in Nepal are good enough and can treat all kinds of diseases. However, Prime Minister Oli has decided to go to Singapore upon suggestion from doctors here. Doctors said it is better to get treated in Singapore than here. Which is why he had gone there and is again going there,” added Yadav.

Minister Yadav further added that there was no need for people to go abroad because Nepali hospitals had all necessary equipment also had experienced doctors.

“People from across the world come here for treatment. But there are some cases that cannot be treated here. For that our doctors recommend people to go to India or other countries,” continued Yadav.
