Lava is a major player in the Indian smartphone market. It initially gained popularity with its affordable products and regional focus. However, the company faced challenges as the industry grew rapidly and competition intensified. Lava’s sales declined as it struggled to adapt to changing market conditions.

However, there is hope for a comeback. Lava is working to regain its position and reignite its brand presence with new and innovative devices like the recent Lava Agni 2 5G. It offers specs that are not available in other smartphone brands in the same price range category, which makes it a tough competitor to phones such as Honor X9a, Samsung Galaxy A34 and Poco X5 Pro.

Design and display

The Lava Agni 2 5G is very different from its first model, the Lava Agni. It has a big circular camera module housing four cameras. The back is made up of glass, which has a matte finish whereas the frame is made up of plastic. The camera module is like a four-petal flower with a base holding them in between. The display and the frame blend very nicely giving a premium feel.

On the front, there is a hole punch camera cutout for the selfie camera. The bezels on the side are none and the top and the chin bezels are also very thin adding a premium look. It has a 6.78-inch AMOLED 3D curved display. With HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ and Widevine L1 support, it delivers vibrant and lifelike visuals. It has an FHD+ resolution of 2400*1080 and a 120Hz of refresh rate.

It offers a brightness of 500 nits, with a maximum brightness of 950 nits under sunlight. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 93.65 per cent, which is great for viewing.
