Chitwan, September 18
Several landslides of different sizes at various points of Narayangadh-Muglin road in Chitwan have blocked the road that connects Kathmandu with the East-West Highway, on Friday morning.
The District Traffic Police Office says the landslides blocked the road since around 5:40 am today. Efforts are underway to remove the landslide debris and resume the traffic movement, the office says, adding it might take around three hours to resume obstruction.
As the long-route transportation has resumed after around six months just on Thursday, hundreds of passengers have been stuck halfway due to the landslides.
The road frequently gets obstructed due to landslides. The road has experienced over one dozen landslides just in the past week alone.
