Kathmandu, June 3

The Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital in Sinamangal of Kathmandu has been indefinitely shut after two health workers there contracted Covid-19.

The hospital’s medical director Dr Mukunda Raj Joshi issued a notice on Tuesday, informing two patients and two health workers at the hospital tested positive for coronavirus, hence the hospital needed to be shut as it would require sanitisation.

The emergency ward would also be shut until a next notice is issued in this regard.

The hospital management has said it decided to shut the hospital so as to avoid the risk of infection among the staff and patients.
