Kathmandu, January 16
One person died and another one sustained injuries in a road accident in Kalanki of Kathmandu on Saturday evening.
A bus (Ba 6 Kha 1459) heading towards Swayambhu from Kalanki had hit a motorbike (Bagmati Pradesh-02-028 Pa 7614) at around 7:15 pm yesterday, critically injuring Bibidh Budha Magar (23), and Sangeet Budha Magar (21), both residents of Rukum East and currently residing in Basantapur and Manamainju of Kathmandu respectively.
But, Sangeet, who was riding pillion, died in the course of treatment, at the Martyrs Memorial Hospital in Kalanki whereas Bibidh, the bike rider, is receiving medical care at the same family.
Police have arrested the bus driver for further investigation.
