
Kathmandu, April 28
Katha-Ek, a play that delves into the complexities of human relationships, is currently being staged at the Mandala Theatre, Kathmandu. Directed by debutant Anup Neupane, the play captures the emotional journey of a couple navigating through confusion, sacrifice, compromise, and realization.
Jointly written by Anup Neupane and Pream Shilwal Bishwakarma—both of whom are making their writing debuts—Katha-Ek offers a narrative that portrays the highs and lows experienced within intimate relationships. Milan Karki is an Assistant Director of the play.
The play features a cast including Bedana Rai, Pream Shilwal Bishwakarma, Milan Karki, Samyog Guragain, Sanam Shrestha, Kristina Basnet, and Ajay Karki. Additionally, the live music in the play is performed by Sagar Khati Kami and Puran Diyali, while Sumitra Pehim handles the play’s lighting design.
The play will run through May 11 every day (except Mondays) at 6:30 p.m. There will be additional shows on Fridays and Sundays at 4:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 3:00 p.m.
