Kalikot, April 3
The Karnali Highway has remained partially shut for three days with a truck suffering a breakdown in the middle of the road at Ranchuli-2, Krishnabhir.
Because of the truck, vehicles headed for Kathmandu, Nepalgunj and Surkhet from Jumla have been stuck on the road since Friday. The truck numbered Bhe 1 Kha 1902 had broken down at Ranchuli-2 in Krishnabhir, Kalikot district, at 4 pm on Friday while it was heading for Jumla from Nepalgunj.
Min Bahadur Thapa, president of the Karnali Transporters’ Association, said the truck’s crown has broken down. Short-route buses have been plying, while long-route buses have remained stuck on the road, he said.
