Dhangadhi, June 11
A 19-year-old girl has been reportedly gang-raped in the Kanchanpur district of far-western Nepal on Thursday.
The District Police Office says two persons, apparently under the influence, raped her in the Bedkot municipality of the district yesterday. Police were reported the incident at around 9 pm.
Meanwhile, the law enforcers arrested one person for his alleged involvement in the act. The suspect has been identified as Dhan Bahadur BK, Bedkot-6 of the district, informs DSP Amar Bahadur Thapa, the DPO spokesperson.
Another suspect is on the run and a manhunt has been launched.
Further investigation is underway.
