Dhangadhi, December 3
A woman has been arrested on the charge of murdering her stepson.
The suspect has been identified as Magi Rokaya (25), a resident of Khaptad Chhededaha rural municipality-2 of the Bajura district, currently residing in Malika Tole, Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city. She has been accused of poisoning Nishant Thapa Magar (10), who is the son of Rokaya’s husband Bahadur from another marriage.
Rokaya had gone to India following the murder, but police arrested her there.
SP Bishwa Adhikari of the Kailali District Police Office says preliminary investigations revealed Rokaya mixed poison in milk and gave it to her stepson to drink around two weeks ago, following a quarrel with her husband.
Police are looking into the case in detail after filing a murder charge against her.
