Kathmandu, February 4
The Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo, on Tuesday met the House of Representatives Speaker Agni Sapkota at the speaker’s office in Singhadarbar of Kathmandu.
The ambassador discussed various issues related to good governance as well as social, economic and technological developments in Nepal and expressed commitment to helping Nepal in such areas. Specifically, he assured that Japan would help Nepal in technological advancements and appropriate training.
Likewise, the speaker recalled cordial bilateral relationships between the two countries and expressed the need for further development.
After his election last week, speaker Sapkota has met the ambassadors from China and India to Nepal before this.
