Jajarkot, January 12
A head constable of Nepal Police has committed suicide by shooting himself in Dalli of Jajarkot district on Sunday morning.
Bhoj Bahadur Kathayat, deployed at Dalli Area Police Office, shot on his temple to commit suicide, according to Chief District Officer Janak Raj Panta. Kathayat was recently transferred to Jajarkot from neighbouring Dolpa district.
Police say the reason for his suicide is not known immediately. Panta says a team has been deployed for further investigation.
He says, “We have sent a mission under the command of a police inspector. We hope to find the reason after the team investigates the case.”
