Kathmandu, October 21
Samant Goel, the chief of India’s foreign intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), has arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
He visited Kathmandu for a few hours this afternoon, according to senior security officials in Kathmandu. It is not known yet why the top intelligence officer from New Delhi visited Kathmandu.
Goel’s visited Kathmandu just around two weeks before the formal Nepal visit of Indian Chief of Army Staff, Manoj Mukund Naravane, has been scheduled.
Officials in Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indian Embassy in Kathmandu have not revealed anything about the meeting.
