Hours before India’s army chief Manoj Mukund Naravane is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on a three-day official trip, Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, called on Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal on Wednesday morning.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two discussed “substantially enriching and progressing Nepal-India cooperation,”, the ambassador tweeted after the meeting.

On the occasion, Kwatra also congratulated Paudyal on his appointment as the foreign secretary. After incumbent Shanker Das Bairagi was promoted to the position of chief secretary on October 1, Paudyal was appointed as the foreign secretary last month.
