Kathmandu, January 6
An Indian national has been arrested on the charge of murdering his colleague, another Indian man, in Kathmandu recently.
Police have arrested Subodh Miya (25) from Motihari of India, currently residing in Balaju, Kathmandu-16, on the charge of murdering 25-year-old Kalaam Miya from Motihari, in Kathmandu on Tuesday night.
Kalaam had breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital last night.
“Both were in the sewing business. Preliminary investigations have found that they did not have a good relationship since the past,” DSP Pramesh Bista of the Metropolitan Police Range in Kathmandu says, “It has been found that Subodh attacked Kalaam with scissors during a dispute last night. But, further investigation is underway.”
Following the incident, Subodh hired an SUV to flee, but the police arrested him on Wednesday morning in Pharping on the southern outskirts of Kathmandu.
