ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Regional Qualifier: Nepal register third win, beat Hong Kong by four wickets

Nepali eves have beaten Hong Kong by four wickets in their fourth match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Regional Qualifier being held in Thailand.

Batting first Hong Kong posted a score of 62/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Hong Kong didn’t lose a wicket in the power play but they never got going. Nary Thapa was exceptional as she picked up 6 wickets for 8 runs in her four overs restricting Hong Kong to a bellow par score.

In reply Nepal two of their openers quite quickly but a composed innings from Apsari Begum and Sarita Magar who scored 24 and 16 runs respectively helped Nepal get over the line with nine balls to spare.

With this Nepal has six points from four matches and are currently fourth on the table behind Thailand, UAE and China. Nepal will take on China on Monday.
