Guna Airlines, an emerging domestic flight operator of Nepal, has launched flights to Bharatpur, Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj from Pokhara this week.

The company says it wants to develop the Pokhara Airport in the Gandaki provincial capital as a hub for inter-provincial flights.

Whereas Pokhara-Bharatpur flights have begun today, Pokhara-Bhairahawa and Pokhara-Nepalgunj flights will begin on Thursday and Friday respectively.

The company hopes such provincial flights will help the places boost domestic tourism.

Up to now, the company has been operating flights from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Bharatpur, Tumlingtar, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Biratnagar, Simara and Janakpur.

The company’s spokesperson Prajwal Thapa says the company is preparing to launch flights to Surkhet and Bhadrapur soon.
