Govt ready to address concerns of Covid-19-hit industrialists: Oli

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has assured that the government will not let industries and businesses get stuck in problems during the Covid-19 crisis.

Oli claims the government is ready to address concerns of the industrialists and businesses hit by the pandemic.

In a meeting with representatives of the private sector, Oli said the government was not only concerned about collecting taxes from the business, but it was also committed to developing the country’s economy in partnership with the private sectors.

Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari, National Planning Commission Vice-chairman Dr Pushpa Raj Kandel, a few ministers and Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada, who had recently resigned as the Finance Minister, were also present in the meeting. The private sector was represented by officials of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Nepalese Industries, and Nepal Chamber of Commerce.
