Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has informed that the government will look into the controversy that arose after former Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota’s audio clip leaked.

In the audio, Baskota was heard asking for a commission in a deal with Security Printing Press. Baskota was supposedly dealing with a Swiss company agent for a commission for awarding his company a contract to establish a security printing press in Nepal.

Baskota has submitted his resignation post the controversy.

Meanwhile, he also spoke about the Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) debate and assured that would also be dealt following legal procedures.

He informed that his party was studying the report of an internal task force about the dispute. The would then be forwarded to Parliament, according to him.
