The price of gold in Nepal fell by Rs 11,700 per tola on Sunday as the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association adjusted domestic rates following the Dashain holiday.

The association attributed the sharp decline to falling prices in the international market.

Gold is now priced at Rs 278,500 per tola, down from Rs 290,200 per tola when it was last traded on Monday before the holiday.

The association announced the revised prices on Sunday, the first adjustment since Monday.

Silver prices also declined, falling by Rs 230 per tola. Silver, which was traded at Rs 4,185 per tola on Monday, is now priced at Rs 3,955 per tola.
