Four rifles used in wildlife poaching seized in Kapilvastu

Kathmandu, January 24

A team of forest guards from the Shivapur area forest office seized four countrymade rifles and seven bullets from Rahak Tole, Shivaraj muncipality, Kapilvastu district, on Tuesday.

The team under assistant forest officer Raghu Nath Das seized the weapons used in wildlife poaching, chief of Chandrauta area administration office, Megh Nath Padhya, informed. About eight months ago, wildlife smugglers had fired at and injured forest guard at a forest in Kapilvastu. They had fled the scene later by hiding their weapons in a bush.
