Rajendra Raut, president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Koshi Province, has donated Rs 1.1 million to support people affected by the floods and landslides in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
Following the devastating floods and landslides that caused significant loss of life and property, Raut made the contribution to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund from his personal funds.
Raut said he made the donation to support the rescue, treatment and relief of disaster-affected people.
FNCCI Koshi Province has also urged industrialists, businesspeople and various organisations in Koshi Province to contribute to relief efforts for people affected by natural disasters.
Rangeli to donate one day’s salary
Rangeli Municipality has also announced financial support for the rescue and relief of people affected by the floods in Bhotekoshi.
According to the Chief Administrative Officer of Rangeli Municipality, Pradip Sah, the municipality has decided to contribute an amount equivalent to one day’s salary of all elected representatives and municipal employees to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
