Kathmandu, August 26
A flood that entered Nuwakot through Rasuwa from the Tibet side has caused damage in several areas of the district.
According to preliminary information provided by Rajan Shrestha, mayor of Bidur Municipality, Betrawati Bazaar has suffered the most damage in Nuwakot.
The flood has also damaged Trishuli Bazaar, while the Central Jail has been inundated. Devighat Bazaar has also been flooded.
Mayor Shrestha said they learned that the flood had reached Nuwakot at around 9 am.
“We are currently assessing and confirming the locations where the flood has caused damage,” Shrestha told Onlinekhabar.
