Five parliamentary committees under the House of Representatives are scheduled to meet on Tuesday to discuss various issues.
The Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, Legislation Management Committee, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, and Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee are scheduled to hold meetings.
The Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee will meet at 9:30 am to discuss a report prepared by a technical task force formed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment on managing human-wildlife conflict.
The committee has invited the Minister for Agriculture, the ministry secretary and other officials to respond to issues raised during the discussion.
The Infrastructure Development Committee, meeting at 10 am, will discuss the problems faced by the Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal (IPPAN).
The Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee will meet at 10:30 am to discuss various issues, including a field observation visit to the Madan Puraskar Guthi.
Meanwhile, the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee will meet at 11 am to discuss ways to ensure inclusive and proportional representation in appointments to government bodies, among other issues.
The agenda of the Legislation Management Committee was not specified in the information released for the day.
