Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to hold discussions today with more than two dozen startups from the information technology sector.
The discussion is being organised by the Ministry of Finance as part of its Budget Implementation Dialogue series. The programme is scheduled to begin shortly at the ministry’s conference hall.
The discussion will focus primarily on the government’s budgetary policies for the development of the information technology sector, their effective implementation, the efforts of young entrepreneurs, and the facilitation required from the government.
During the programme, the finance minister is expected to explain the government’s position on these issues.
The event will also provide an opportunity for young entrepreneurs in the information technology sector to share their aspirations and provide oral and written feedback on practical and policy-level measures they expect the government to take to facilitate the sector.
