Kathmandu, August 27
The newly formed Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Democratic has been registered with the Election Commission on Sunday.
Earlier, the Commission had said the party could not produce its members for verification of signatures. However, the Supreme Court had told the Commission to stay the decision requiring the verification.
Following the stay order, around 20 leaders of the party led by Pashupati Shamsher Rana went to the Commission today for verification.
Rana has been made Chairperson of the party whereas Ramchandra Raya, Deepak Bohora and Bikram Pandey have been made vice-chairpersons. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan and Sunil Bahadur Thapa are general secretaries of the new party.
